The Guadalhorce course is situated just a short distance from Malaga Airport and was first opened in 1990.
The course was built around a 16th Century country estate, which in the 19th Century was acquired by the Larios family who converted the Colmeneras country house into a stately home with English influences.
In 1987, a group of Spanish and Finnish golfing enthusiasts got together to create the Guadalhorce Golf Course, with the help of Finnish course designer, Kosti Kuronen.

- Pro shop

The Guadalhorce course is a par 72 and is split into two distinct halves.
The front nine is very similar to a British parkland style course, but comprises of more of the tropical vegetation associated with this particular part of the Mediterranean.
The back nine is a little more difficult, with undulating fairways, lakes and elevated greens. A number of the large greens, which were designed by legendary Spanish golfer Miguel Ángel Jiménez, are shared between different holes.
Guadalhorce is a lovely course to play if you are visiting the Costa del Sol for your golfing break. See our current discounted rates below.
